The main eye-catchy part of this keyboard is the LCD screen at the top which is used to provide various information and game statistics without interrupting any processes. Great for keeping an eye on important things during gameplay.
The back lightning is fully customizable to user preferred color but the lightning seems to be uneven. This is a minor flaw and one which will not affect you gameplay.
The driver that comes with this device is outdated but a new version is available at their website. The keys are very neat and very comfortable to use. The display can be used to display many things like: time, in game statistics, windows media player, cpu/ram usage. Another superb feature of this keyboard is the addition of media controls. The volume controls is actually a wheel which spins up and down and can be a source of amusement at the beginning. Also the keys for play, pause, stop, next are present. The typing experience of this keyboard is very nice as all it requires is a gentle tap on the keys to which it responds immediately; this is very much useful while typing documents. The Logitech G110 is a high tech gaming keyboard built by one of the oldest and best gaming accessories companies around. For a low price of £66, this keyboard seems like it’s a deal thatis too good to be true. So is it? Or is it every thing that the reviews claim it is and more?
We’ve personally received and reviewed a Logitech G110 and gone through every single spec of this keyboard to break down the pros and cons of this keyboard.
Logitech G110 – Worth the investment?
This keyboard comes at a very light 3.3 pounds and fits on just about every desk you can imagine. It also features a high speed USB port which allow you to plug in flash drives or plug in your mouse. You can also customize the look of your mouse with light up keys which allow you to see in the dark or just allow it to look cool specified by your own personal preference. Logitech G110
The only con that comes out of the Logitech G110 is the pricing. While most people are on a very strict budget due to the economy, spending £66 on a keyboard isn’t exactly in their best interest but what most people don’t realize is that this keyboard will outlast just about any standard keyboard they can obtain and in the long run will end up saving money rather than spending more. This keyboard has a near zero millisecond response time to keystrokes which allows you to either out type your friends or sneak up on your enemy with precision and stealth and comes highly recommended for any serious gamer.
Stay one step ahead of the game with the Logitech G11 gaming keyboard. Unique features include blue backlit characters, programmable g keys and conveniantly located media control buttons that will keep you playing through the night.
Custom macros can be created for your games and are accessible with one single keystroke. The Logitech G11 has convenient under keyboard channels which allow you to route your cables for a clutter free environment. Two full speed usb ports are included to allow you to easily swap controls. And dont worry about being cut out of the action if you press the windows key, as the built in gaming mode will disable it with one touch.
Logitech products are never second-rate. They are either poor or great. The G11, fortunately, falls on the “great” side.
If you’re in the market for a nice keyboard (whether you are a gamer, a serious computer user, or someone who enjoys visual and tactile perfection, the G11 is a sound investment.
I purchased the G11 after figuring out that I required a really well made, wired, back-lit keyboard. There are far to many cheapo keyboards, stocked with useless media buttons and silly ergonomic styles. I decided, as I’m a serious gamer, that a gaming keyboard was the way to go. The good thing about computers is that, usually, what’s designed for a gamer works REALLY well for any other user.

I’m going to say right out that I’m not a heavy gamer. I do play occasional games, but plenty of other reviewers have covered the pros and cons of this keyboard for game use; what I haven’t seen are a lot of reviews for general use. When I recently built a new computer, I decided to treat myself to a back-lit keyboard. I write quite a bit at night, don’t like keeping my office lights on, and, while I can touch type, I do need to be able to see function keys, the number pad, music controls etc,. The sidewinder is on the (rather short) list of keyboards that have this feature.
I consider myself a fairly active gamer. I tend to play a lot of MMORPG’s which often require quick access to a large amount of commands in a short period of time. Unfortunately, my previous keyboard only hindered my ability to play as quickly and efficiently as I’d like to. Luckily, a buddy of mine recommended the Razer Blackwidow and I can honestly say it’s been one the best technological investments I’ve made so far.
After removing the Razer Blackwidow from it’s packaging, one of the first things that drew my attention was the attractive design of the keyboard. The sleek black look, combined with the mesmerizing blue glow of the backlit keys, makes this keyboard an aesthetic masterpiece. It’s also not as large as some of the other gaming keyboards out there, which makes it much easier to transport.
The keys themselves also have a very nice feel to them. The cherry blue switches have helped improved my typing speed and accuracy, which is a godsend considering how long it takes me to type.
I love that you can program any key you want to do pretty much anything. Macros make navigating the computer much more efficient and the five extra gaming buttons give you an assortment of ways to customize the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate to your liking.
It’s really nice having headphone and microphone jacks right on my keyboard. Usually, I have to plug in to the port in the back of my computer, which gets extremely frustrating since the cord to my headset isn’t very long.
I would recommend this keyboard to computer gamers of all genres. The Razer Blackwidow Ultimate truly makes an enormous difference when it comes to typing and gaming. Furthermore, if I were to lose this product, I would definitely purchase it again. Thanks Razer!
Should I go for a Wired or Wireless keyboard for my Desktop? This is a question that most of us have faced when building out their new PC. The fact that both the options present their own set of advantages and disadvantages; makes it a difficult choice and the best suitable option would vary for each individual, based on his/her usage or priorities.
For a day to day usage, wireless keyboards tends to offer advantage of having clutter free desk and it adds a bit of mobility to your working as these keyboards tend to cover the range of a room. Less wires means better space management for your desk. However, wireless keyboards do come with their share of disadvantages when it comes to gaming when compared to their wired counterparts. Let us explore what are the advantages and disadvantages of both of them from the perspective of a game.
Pros and Cons of wireless gaming keyboards over wired ones:
Pros:
The most important advantage of going wireless is the freedom from clutter of wires on your table. Wireless keyboard sets you free from the painful job of hiding that thick wire running on your desk and let you save space on your desk for some other stuff.
Wireless keyboards let you extend the range from where you can work. So it helps in adding some bit of mobility to your desktop, though not much as the wireless range is limited. It comes in handy when you connect your desktop to your TV display for a game and want to sit back on your couch and play.
Cons:
Serious gamers prefer to stay away from the wireless keyboards as they tend to be less responsive as compared to the wired keyboard. There is a slight lag between the key press and the corresponding action on the screen. While this may not be a big deal during a normal game, but in fast paced action games like FPS, slight lag may be difference between winning and losing.
Wireless keyboards do not support as many simultaneous keypress as wired keyboards would. While for normal usage this may not be an issue, during games this could be restrictive as certain games require you to press a combo of multiple keys.
Wireless keyboards tend to have high running cost as they require frequent battery change.
Batteries tend to increase the weight of the keyboard and in certain models the center of gravity may be bit skewed due to batteries, which can make it a bit inconvenient, especially when carrying the keyboard on your lap.
Both wired and wireless keyboards have their share of pros and cons. While there is a market for both type of keyboards, for gaming the ideal choice remains wired keyboard, especially when you into fast paced gaming. Wireless keyboards have improved quite a bit over the period of time and some keyboards offer very little lag, still wired keyboards tend to have that slight edge when it comes gaming. For serious gamers, even the slightest edge would count.
